The testing machine is used for the battery penetrating test by simulating the acupuncture by sharp objects when pack, transport, reserve, use and dispose batteries. The result of the test can be used to evaluate the safety performance of the battery.

Test method:

For single battery: Use the heat-resistant steel needle with the diameter of 3-8 mm and speed of 10-40 mm/s. Puncture the battery perpendicular to the battery plat. The battery is qualified if there is no fire and explosion.

For battery module: Use the heat-resistant steel needle with the diameter of 3-8 mm and speed of 10-40 mm/s. Puncture the battery at least 3 single batteries perpendicular to the battery plat. The battery module is qualified if there is no fire and explosion.
